Reading Homework

In the past I have allowed the children to take home their guided reading books.  This has only resulted in many lost books.  Since I don't use our basal readers for class instruction, I have decided to send them home with the students as part of their homework.  They will have to read the assigned story and then choose from the list of activities to complete in their Reader's Response Journal.  The students will also be given a comprehension test on Fridays over their reading assignments.  Here is the document that I will be attaching to the inside of their Journals.Reading Response Choices
